Things to be thankful for.

Hey Ladies!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is a perfect day for reflecting on God's glory. Since today is the day of giving thanks, I decided to tell you what I'm thankful for! I also wanna confess that even though I love fashion & makeup, sometimes I can get too focused on what I think I need, example, "I just HAVE to get that top!" or " LOOK! They're having a sale!" Which I tend to think that when stores like Charlotte Russe or WetSeal are having a clearance rack or a sale, I then have the urge that I suddenly HAVE to buy something! (self-control, mallory.) Instead of me thinking of what I need/want, I need stop and be thankful for what God has already given me. So here are five of the many things that I am thankful for!

I'm thankful for:

1. God's love, I could never live without it!

2. For my absolutely amazing family!

3. For friends who we get to spend Thanksgiving with.

4. Living under a roof in this freezing weather!

5. And lastly, I'm thankful for this blog, that I'm able to share my thoughts on fashion, & ideas.

What are you t
hankful for?

A home-made headband.

Hello Darlings!
Hope everyone's staying warm! I wanted to show you something that I made in the last week.... A headband! So what I did was I took a plain white headband, which I got 2 for $1 at the Dollar Tree, then took some cream colored lace, which I got at a garage sale a few month's back thinking that I could get some use out of it, & I did! I then used a glue-gun, & glued them together. Then I took this fabulous bow ribbon, which was given by a friend who gives us scraps of ribbons from her card-making hobby. glue it on top, & let it dry...
voilĂ ! A headband! So think about how YOU can make you own hair accessory!!

Have a blessed day!

inspiration of the past.....

Hey sweets!
Hope you're doing fine! What are y'all doing for Thanksgiving? This outfit of the day was an inspiration of the
past ('40s-'50s) It's classy, yet cute. Now vintage is NOT normally my style...but I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try new looks. After all, Pink is one of the many colors I like, & I've always loved it paired with brown. So enjoy this vintage outfit of the day!;)

(Lady Cameo necklace: from my Grandma's jewelry box. Pearl Necklace: also from my Grandma's. Headband: Love Couture $4.99)

(Pink Top: Forever21, but I got it at a garage sale for 50¢. White tank: Old Navy, I got half off.)

(Lady Cameo skirt: Goodwill for $5)

(Brown pumps: Bongo, I got at a yardsale for $2)

(Dark Brown gloves: Dollar Tree, for $1. Pearl ring: WetSeal clearance for $1.99. Pearl bracelet: Garage sale free;)

Have a fabulous weekend!

I love my parents...

Hello!
It's almost Thanksgiving! Which reminded me of how thankful I am for my parents...which gave me the idea to put them on!

I wanted to put my wonderful parents on here to show you it's not just us girls who shop at yard sales...our whole family does! My mom has been shopping like this since we were born. But it's been just recently that us girls have been taking over the job. With 10 people in this family (4 girls and 4 boys) it was hard to go shopping on one income. So this year my parents gave us money for yard sales so that we could shop by ourselves. My mom has taught me what kind of name brands you could look for and how to know if a piece of clothing has the potential to be cute. I'll admit that when we first started out I hated doing it. Half the time I wouldn't even get out of the car. Let alone look through other people's dirty clothing. But then as I started seeing my sisters come home with cute jewelry, a Jimmy Choo purse, ect, I was jealous and was very motivated to go. Now it's actually exciting because it's like a treasure hunt..you never know what you could find!

Black Pumps: Danskos which she got for $75 online but was originally $158.64. Jeans: Ann Taylor $88 but she got for only $7 new at Goodwill. Gold Hoops: Target for $5.

She & my dad were going out to dinner:)

My dad got this leather jacket which is a Nordstrom's brand...which he got brand new with the tag still on for only $20!

(He's wearing it on the above picture:))

Dress: "Free People" $5 at Goodwill. Black Cardigan: "Apostrophe" $7 at Sears on the clearance rack. Gold Necklace: Shes had in her jewelry box:)

Have a fabulous week loves!!
